We warranty our pumps for two years which is twice as long as the vast majority of water pumps and mechanical parts.  We had a customer ask if they could pay a little more for another year.  

We're not actuaries but it seemed like a good idea so we added the item.  

This insurance is subject to all other terms and conditions of the normal warranty,
